High-Speed Cable Subscribers Gain
Instant Access to
Local Businesses in Northeast Ohio
Locality.com to provide
integrated local business directories through strategic relationship
with the Road Runner Division of Time Warner Cable of Northeast
Ohio
AKRON, Ohio, February 1, 2002
-- Locality.com, a nationwide provider of e-commerce services and community
business directories, today announced a strategic marketing partnership with
Time Warner Cable of Northeast
Ohio.
Effective February
1st, Time Warner Cable will integrate the Locality.com online business
directory into both its neo.rr.com and discoverneo.com
sites. These sites serve as localized
destinations for subscribers to its Road Runner high-speed cable internet
service in Northeast
Ohio. Each site provides local news and
information, as well as features and articles designed to help subscribers
maximize their online experience.
The Locality directory
will be the featured resource for Roadrunner cable subscribers seeking
information and services from local businesses.
"Through the
integration of Locality's local business directories, our subscribers have easy
access to area businesses that are online," said Tish Biggs, Road Runner
Regional Director. "Our entire network is focused on fast speed and
convenience. This affiliation with Locality now places additional resources
within a single click by our subscribers."
Locality provides
retailers, professionals and service providers with online business
directories. These directories are localized and connect directly to area
consumers who are online. Locality also
provides web site design, weekly email shoppers, and e-commerce applications
designed to meet the specific needs of small, community-based businesses.
Dennis Barba Jr.,
Locality President and CEO, said, "Our business is not limited to bringing
small businesses online. Our programs are designed to deliver the local
consumer as well. By partnering with Time Warner's high speed service
throughout Northeast Ohio, we're providing an instant media that can connect
the local business to the neighborhood subscriber."
Under the strategic
marketing agreement, Time Warner Cable Road Runner subscribers in Northeast
Ohio will have direct access to the Locality.com business directory targeted to
their community. Time Warner business customers also will be included in
Locality's area directories, and these directories will utilize the discoverneo.com
site as its content source for local news and information.
Co-marketing efforts
will include cable advertising, site advertising, electronic newsletters, and
direct marketing placed within billing statements.
