Locality.com Launches Pizza Builder e-Commerce Application

For Rascal House Pizza

Locality.com develops new online ordering system for pizza shops in partnership
with Cleveland's Rascal House Pizza.

CLEVELAND, Ohio, June 10, 2002 -- Locality.com, a nationwide provider of e-commerce services and community business directories, announced the launch of their Pizza Builder online pizza ordering system. Developed in partnership with Rascal House Pizza in Cleveland, Ohio, this new application for the pizza industry is now in use at www.rascalhousepizza.com.

The Pizza Builder application allows the consumer to visit the Rascal House web site and build a custom pizza within a visual environment. As customers choose their pizza toppings, they view a virtual representation of the actual pizza as it is being built. Customers can specify the size of the pizza being created and whether the selected item should be on placed on all or only part of the pie (see photo below).  Additionally, the consumer can order from the Rascal House complete menu.

"We focused on adding some fun to the overall functionality of this application," said David Anderson, Vice President of Business Development for Locality. "The Rascal House's new online ordering system allows customers to mix and match items on their pizza, while actually seeing their creation as they build it."  Additionally, we feel that PizzaBuilder is the easiest-to-use pizza ordering e-commerce software available on the market today.

After designing the custom pizza, customers are taken to an online checkout, where a complete description and price for the pizza is generated. Customers can then pay online using a credit card within Rascal House's secure merchant account server.

Anderson added that this component of the system provides for secure credit card ordering by the customer. He said, "This eliminates any worry about providing credit card information over the phone. Customers can feel safe knowing that their credit card number is protected and kept private within a secured environment."

Rascal House is the first pizza shop in the nation to roll out Locality.com's new system.
